UNIQUE BUT LITTLE KNOWN FACTS ABOUT ME
- Monica and her husband Paul are both native of Wisconsin . They moved to Clemson in 1967 and when they came over the mountains, they found God's country. Paul was a Professor in Civil Engineering at Clemson University for 24 years. He then accepted a position with the "National Academy of Sciences" in Washington , D. C. in 1990. After a 16 year successful commuting marriage, Paul has retired as of January, 2006.
- Married for 49 years with four married children and nine grandchildren.
- Monica walks 4 ½ miles a day 5 days a week plus at least 12 flights of stairs two at a time up and down. She has done this for 16 years and before that, she and her husband ran the same distance for eight years. She and Paul also enjoy skiing, traveling, and boating on the lake in their backyard.
